【HsinChu Taiwan】 Taiwan’s pioneer developer of 32-bit processor based SoC platforms, Andes Technology Corporation, announced their collaborative effort with iaSolution Inc. in bringing forth the AndesCore™ processor powered JBlend™ [micro] platform. Application developers of AndesCore™ may quickly port and actualize their products, shortening time to market.

Andes development boards, ADP-AG101 – the 500MHz N1213 core based SoC platform and the FPGA based ADP-XC5 adopt the Linux kernel, and toolkits such as QT. With the successful integration of JBlend™[micro], the Andes platform is made compliant with Java ME Connected Limited Device Configuration 1.1 (JSR 139), Mobile Information Device Profile 2.0 (JSR 118) and Mobile Media API 1.1 (JSR 135). The prototype platform comes with a GUI Application Manager System and executes Java MIDlets, or native C code, which conforms to the standards of J2ME enabled handheld devices such as cellular phones and PDAs.
